Dinner Party Menu

STARTERS
(all at £4.50 per person)

  • Freshly made soup served with homemade seeded bread rolls (please ask for soup options)
  • Pear and rocket salad with gorgonzola and walnuts
  • Tomato mozzarella and black olive salad with a balsamic dressing
  • Roasted beetroot with stilton pate and chicory served with crusty brown bread
  • Falafel served on a bed of lettuce and herbs with tahina sauce and pitta bread
  • Smoked salmon Maki rolls, served with wasabi, soy sauce and pickled ginger
  • Warm lentil salad with Y Fenni cheese roasted red onions and thyme
  • Chicken liver pate served with a red onion chutney and homemade bread rolls
  • Poached whole salmon garnished with salad, lemon and dill served with mayonnaise (minimum 10 servings)

All starters, except the Maki rolls, served with fresh crusty bread

MAIN COURSES

Menu A
(For £9.50 per person)

  • Slow-roasted Welsh Lamb, served with seasonal vegetables, roasted or new potatoes, mint sauce and gravy.
  • Roast Duck served with a piquant soy and orange sauce, white rice and stir fried greens with ginger and sesame seeds.
  • Baked Whole Trout, stuffed with lemon and herbs, served with horseradish crème fraiche, chipped potatoes and a fresh green salad.
  • Moroccan Lamb & Apricot Tagine served with steamed couscous, minted yogurt & homemade Harissa sauce
  • Fillet of Cod, baked in a creamy yoghurt and tarragon sauce, served with new potatoes, seasonal greens or green salad.
  • Roast Turkey with all the trimmings (Christmas only).

Menu B
(For £8.50 per person)

  • Chicken in whole spices and yoghurt served with Basmati Rice and greens or salad
  • Beef in a beer stew, served on a bed of mashed potatoes with greens or braised red cabbage.
  • Chicken Paprika, served with sour cream, nutty brown rice and a crisp green salad.
  • Tray baked Pork chops, marinated in olive oil, rosemary and crushed lemons, served with roasted slivers of pear and parsnips, mashed or new potatoes and spring greens.
  • Braised Meatballs, baked in a green pepper and tomato sauce, served on a bed of farfalle pasta with a green salad.
  • Taglietelle, tossed with strips of roasted chicken, rosemary, pinenuts and sultanas and served with broccoli or green salad.
  • Hard-fried Salmon fillets, served with basmati rice, a Thai red curry sauce and seasonal greens & salad
  • Traditional Fish Pie, made with white fish, prawns, capers and eggs, topped with creamed potato and served with seasonal vegetables.
  • Grilled whole mackerel, served with a ginger and fresh coriander sauce, basmati rice or new potatoes and seasonal vegetables.
  • Thai style prawn and monkfish curry served with Basmati Rice

Vegetarian
(For £7.50 per person)

  • Baked Polenta, filled with a spicy tomato and kidney bean sauce and topped with cheese, served with roasted vegetables and spring greens or salad.   (vegan option)
  • Green lentil Lasagne, served with garlic bread and a fresh green salad.   (vegan option)
  • A crisp vegetable stir fry, tossed with grilled tofu and served with egg or rice noodles and a spicy peanut and coconut satay. (vegan option)
  • Chickpea and vegetable curry, served with basmati rice, a cucumber and coriander raita, pappadums and chutneys. (vegan option)
  • Puy lentil Moussaka served with brown rice and salad
  • Vegetarian ‘Wellington’, a tasty nut & mushroom filling in a puff pastry plait.  Very festive and can be served with all the usual Christmas trimmings or simple seasonal vegetables

DESSERTS
(all at £4.50 per person)

  • Soft fruit salad with passion fruit, served with cream or vanilla ice cream (seasonal).
  • Plum, cinnamon and hazelnut crumble, served with either custard or cream.
  • Bananas baked in orange juice, rum and star anise, served with a ginger crème fraiche
  • Hazelnut Meringue, filled with an apricot compote and whipped cream
  • Baked Ginger Cheese Cake
  • Key Lime Pie (softly frozen, melts in the mouth!)
  • Lemon Tart, infused with cardamom
  • Individual Peach and cherry trifles with amaretto
  • Rich chocolate almond cake served with crème fraiche
  • Figs baked in marsala wine with cardamom, served with Greek yoghurt (seasonal)Poached pears in red wine and cranberry served with vanilla ice cream

For the main meals each additional choice works out at an extra £2/person, and each additional choice for starters or desserts an extra £1/person.
